Althaf & Thanha
Althaf and Thanha's wedding celebration was a joyful study in contrasts: high-octane celebration on one hand, and quiet, nostalgic romance on the other. It started with the Haldi ceremony, but once the formal rituals were completed, the real game began. What was supposed to be a traditional yellow haldi quickly evolved into an all-out Holi carnival of colors. Yellow powders filled the air, friends shouted louder than the music, and Althaf was hopelessly outnumbered by a tribe of cousins who refused to let him escape spotless. The laughter echoed across the venue, completely unscripted and infectious. A little later, away from the roaring crowd, we met Althaf and Thanha on the tranquil waters of Malarikkal in Kottayam. The late afternoon light brushed the lake in shades of ochre and gold, while thousands of pink water lilies bloomed across the gentle ripples. Stepping into a slender wooden canoe, the atmosphere shifted into something reminiscent of a classic Fazil film—where romance lives in quiet smiles, shy glances, and the soft rustle of water against the oars. We stood back and let the stillness do the talking.
